Free Robotics Summer Camp Program

Our friend and neighbor John Kugler, who also serves on the board of the McKinley Park Development Council , shared word of this cool, free program from the Youth Technology Corps that is available to schools and community groups this summer:

FREE 2022 Robotics Summer Camp

  • YTC’s FREE Virtual Robotics Camp is a STEM educational program focused around robotics and programming using the Arduino platform
  • Taught by a team of Youth Technology Corp students, graduates and professional volunteers
Each student will receive a free robotics kit.
Instruction available in English and Spanish.


Dates: June 27-July 29
  • The camp will take place 3 times a week over Zoom for 1 hr
    *** Exact times to be determined with school and organization needs
  • Students who complete the program and quizzes receive a certification of completion
  • A computer with a mic, speakers, and internet required; camera advised
  • We encourage family participation including siblings and parent support
Learning Outcomes
  • Introduction to microelectronics, coding, & robotics
  • Circuitry (resistors, motors, LED)
  • Fundamentals of Objective C (C++) programming
  • We encourage family participation
  • Inputs & Outputs (digital, analog, serial communication)
Anyone 5th grade to College can join, previous experience not necessary!
