McKinley Park Kids Fight Alien Invasion!

This is so cool! We just received word about this play presented up at DePaul University's Merle Reskin Theatre between January 19 and February 11, 2023. Las Wavys is a play about four 11-year-olds from McKinley Park who discover an alien invasion. They learn that the only way to defeat the aliens is house and freestyle music, so they become an intergalactic femme DJ collective called ... Las Wavys! Written by Ricardo Gamboa (The Wizards, Meet Juanito Doe), the play is action-packed, very queer, very Chicago, and fun for all ages.

Most shows are school day matinees, but Saturday afternoon performances at run at 2 p.m. for the next three weeks.
